Departmental Retreat (26 and 27 April 2017)

The Department of Accountancy successfully hosted its annual retreat in Macau on 26 and 27 April 2017. Forty-three academic and administrative staff attended the event. This annual retreat enables staff members to understand more about the Department’s new directions for development, and helps them generate ideas for future development plans.

The programmes in the Retreat were condensed, fruitful, free and pragmatic. The Retreat kicked off with an overview of the Departmental Strategic Plan and RoE5 Annual Progress Updates. Academic staff shared their views during the discussion sessions over the three major Strategic Areas stated in the Departmental Strategic Plan 2017-2022 and came up with many remarkable and innovative ideas and insights. The responses and feedback received will not only stimulate new breakthroughs and bring significant insights for Department’s future development but will also lead to a higher level of discovery for professional achievements among faculty members.

AC faculty were divided into three groups to discuss the ongoing and future strategic plans on

issues relating to Teaching and Learning, Research Development and Branding Internationalization.

AC staff enjoyed the dinner after the hectic schedule on the first day of Retreat. Say ‘cheers’!
